1987 Camaro
IROC-Z ET Bracket Race Car

The car now has enough safety equipement for a 9.0 ET and 150 mph limit under IHRA rules.
The 150 mph limit is because I don't have or need a parachute yet

Things to do

  • Install forward cage tubes through firewall (maybe)
  • Reposition seat so it's tilted back slightly
  • Fabricate a removable transmission tunnel

Stuff the car needs to go faster
At 150 mph, the car would need a parachute but I can't see that happening for a long time although a mount has been fabricated when the 4-link and back half was done.

  • At 9.99 the car needs an NHRA chassis certification and competition license to run at an NHRA track There's only one NHRA track within the region so I doubt it will affect me.
  • At 8.99 the car needs an IHRA chassis certification and competition license to run at an IHRA track. Even going to the other regional IHRA track which is at a lower altitude, I'll still be slower than this.
